Schenck took the lead from Nathan Crane of Waukegan, Illinois on lap 13 just prior to a caution for a spin and a red flag on the restart when Craig Campton of Milwaukee, who was running third, spun and flipped on the backstretch. Chris Klemko of Bristol battled back and forth with Rod Colburn of New Berlin throughout much of the caution plagued main. The most serious incident came near the 10-lap mark when fast qualifier Todd Lehr of Kokomo, Indiana spun and collected Jimmy Sivia of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois resulting in Lehr flipping and landing his car upside down. After a week off, the teams of the Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association(IRA) prepare to do battle once again, as this weekend features a pair of races. Saturday July 1st the series returns to Wilmot Raceway, then on Sunday July 2nd they head to 141 Speedway. Saturday the IRA returns to its birth place, the Wilmot Raceway.
