Ion Stear Returns to Victory Lane as CJ Malueg Adds to His Point Lead of the Hepfner Racing Products/HRP Wings Victory Chaser Challenge Points Heading
September 19, 2024 – Bristol, WI. The Lift Pro Powered by Gandrud Chevrolet Winged 604 Sprint Car Series at the Wilmot Raceway had a repeat winner on Championship Night as the points leader adding to his lead heading into the final weekend.
Matt Vandervere of Burlington, WI kicked off the night by laying down the fastest lap earning him a point in the Hepfner Racing Products/HRP Wings Victory Chaser Challenge Points Series. Ion Stear of Hebron, IL and points leader, CJ Malueg of Johnsburg, IL, both captured Heat Race Victories garnering both 2 – points for their efforts. Stear stayed hot come feature time, picking up another Feature Win in 2024, adding 3 – more points to his night’s total. Zion, IL’s Brian Kristan also earned himself a point in the Feature by passing 6 – cars earning the night’s Hard Charger.
The Hepfner Racing Products/HRP Wings Victory Chaser Challenge will wrap up this weekend at the Wilmot Raceway during their inaugural Fall Classic. Action kicks off tonight, Thursday, September 19th, and continues tomorrow Friday, September 20th, and ends Saturday, September 21st where the Victory Chaser will be crowned.
