Schenck Takes Sun Prairie Again
Sun Prairie, WI, Sept. 3---Doug Schenck scored a popular ”home track” victory Sunday Night winning the 25-lap Wisconsin wingLESS Sprint Series presented by the IRA feature at Angell Park Speedway.
Derek Crane jumped into the lead at the event. The caution was displayed on the second lap for oil on the track surface.On the restart Crane again assumed the lead,with Schenck restarting in fourth position. Schenck passed Crane for the lead exiting Turn 2 on the ninth lap.
Schenck’s four-car length lead was erased on Lap 15, for a stalled car. On the restart Schenck pulled away from the field and finished two-car lengths ahead of Jimmy Kouba at the finish.
