Wilmot, WI — Wilmot Raceway is gearing up for an exciting 2026 racing season with a diverse schedule that blends high-profile touring series, traditional Saturday night racing, and special fan-focused attractions. The 2026 calendar showcases the return of nationally recognized series, marquee sprint car events, and NEW themed race nights at the historic 3/8 mile clay oval.
The season officially ramps up with open practices on April 25–26, leading into one of the year’s early highlights on May 2 with the Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprints Open Wheel Spectacular – “Dick Colburn Classic.” The event features IRA 410 Winged Sprint Cars along with additional sprint divisions and serves as a cornerstone event on the spring schedule.
May continues with a strong mix of racing and special events, including Midwest Legends Dirt Series – Candy Drop Night on May 9 and Badger Midgets Healthcare Workers Appreciation Night on May 16, offering competitive racing paired with community recognition. The popular Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprints Founders Night follows on May 23, bringing another major sprint car program to Wilmot Raceway. May 24 features a new attraction to Wilmot Raceway which is the Plaza Mexico Jaripeo (Rodeo) which is the first of three nights this summer you can catch this spectacular event. A can’t miss event on the calendar May 30th is the Monster Truck Throwdown, great for all ages.
June 13th boasts a second stop for the Midwest Legends Dirt Series and is also Military Appreciation Night.
Summer highlights include several marquee events, starting with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour stop on June 15, bringing national level late model competition to Wilmot on a special Monday night. Fan favorite events return throughout June, including Family Night with the Power Wheels Race on June 20 and Carload Fireworks Night on June 30, which combines racing with a post event fireworks display.
One of the biggest weekends of the season arrives in July with the return of the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series. The three day stretch includes a World of Outlaws Pre Party on July 9, followed by back to back race nights on July 10 and July 11, featuring the Nos Energy World of Outlaws Sprint Cars Series and supporting divisions. This weekend also includes the Anderson’s Maple Syrup pancake breakfast, car show and live music. This annual visit remains one of the most anticipated events on the Wilmot Raceway calendar.
Additional summer attractions include a NEW stop for the American Big Rig Racing Semi Showdown on July 25 featuring a Bike Raffle, Deal Day (Thirsty Thursday) on July 30, and the return of the multi day Prost! DAS Fest Wisconsin celebration beginning July 31, offering a unique blend of motorsports and festival style entertainment.
As summer begins to wind down, Wilmot Raceway shifts into high gear with a diverse slate of events scheduled throughout August and September. August 8th highlights a special program with Wing 410 races and is also School Supply Drive Night for the kids!
August 19th- 23rd is the Kenosha County Fair featuring five nights of on track action including the return of the Bumper to Bumper IRA sprint cars on August 22nd for a Sprint Spectacular, demo derbies, horse pulls, combine derbies and truck & tractor pulls! August 29th closes out the month with the MSA 360 Sprints, Badger Midgets and Teacher Appreciation Night (including a Kids backpack giveaway).
September 5th kicks off our first championship night for the Modifieds only and is also First Responders Night.
September 11th and 12th will be the return of our 3rd Annual Fall Classic featuring Championship night for all divisions on September 11th. Our 2nd annual Trunk or Treat Night is on September 12th featuring the Dirt Kings Late Model Tour to cap off a stellar 2026!
