The largest combined motorsports and custom vehicle show of its kind is coming to the Lynch GM Superstore on Saturday, July 12.
The 21 st Annual event for Lynch, combined with the 38 th annual for the “Let’s Go Racing!“ Motorsports Show is expected to draw in the neighborhood of 100 vehicles to the Lynch dealership lot located at 2300 Browns Lake Drive, at the intersection of Hwy. 36 and County W in Burlington.
The show is free for both participants and spectators, with show hours running 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
“This is a first for the combined show of moving it to summer,” said John Fischer, sales manager for Lynch and co-promoter of the show with Mike Babicz of Babicz Auto Racing Services (BARS).
“We’ve weathered cold and snow in May, so now we want to try something different which we are already receiving lots of interest from participants and spectators from throughout the area,” said Babicz of BARS and Wilmot Raceway.
The official pace truck of Wilmot Raceway, a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado provided by Lynch of Burlington and Kenosha, will be on hand along with representatives from the various divisions which compete regularly at Wilmot on the Kenosha County Fairgrounds. The race program at Wilmot that evening will be Lynch Night at the Races.
Several representatives from other race series including ARCA Midwest, Mid-American Stock Cars and others, along with road racing, oval racing and SCCA racing are all expected to be on hand.
Free information and schedules from various racing venues and series will be available.
“If it has a motor and it races, it is welcome in the motorsports division.” said Babicz.
“If it drives on the street whether it has two wheels, three wheels or four wheels and a motor, it is welcome on the custom vehicle side,’ said Fischer.
Dash plaques will be awarded to the first 100 entrants. Separate Top 10 awards for both groups, as well as the traditional Larry Roebuck Best Appearing Overall Championship Award will be presented at 1:00 p.m.
Although there is no entry fee, persons desiring to enter are encouraged to contact Fischer at 800-635-2550 or Babicz at 262-206-5465.
