(Wilmot, Wis., Friday, April 26, 2019)–Despite a great showing for a final practice session at Wilmot Raceway on Friday, April 26, an impending winter storm warning wintry forecast expected to hit the Kenosha County Fairgrounds facility forced officials to cancel the planned Saturday, April 27 season opener. The new first event planned for the 1/3-mile clay oval will be Saturday, May 4 featuring the Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association(IRA) Outlaw Sprint Cars making their first stop of their 52nd season at their original home track. The Autometer Wisconsin WingLess Sprints, the Lightning Sprints presented by the IRA and the modifieds are on the card. Grandstands open at 5:00 p.m. with on track activity getting underway at 5:45 p.m. and racing to follow. Grandstand admission is $20.00 for ages 12 and over, $5.00 for ages 7-11 with 6 and under admitted free.
