BADGER Midget Turner Classic Next After Storms Nix UMP Summernationals

(Wilmot, Wis., Tuesday, July 2, 2019)–The 10th Annual Harry Turner BADGER Midget Special is next up for Wilmot Raceway on Saturday, July 6. Joining the midgets in their only appearance of the season at the Kenosha County Fair facility are the AutoMeter Wisconsin WingLess Sprints, Modifieds, Street Stocks and Bandit 4-Cylinder Stock Cars. Grandstands open at 5:00 p.m. with Meet The Driver slated 5-5:30 p.m. followed by on track activity at 5:45 and racing to follow. The July 6 program marks the first of three Military Appreciation Nights. Active military and veterans presenting identification at the ticket office will be admitted as guests of Wilmot Raceway on July 6, 20 and 27. Regular grandstand admission is $15.00 for ages 12 and over, $5.00 for ages 7-11 with 6 & under admitted free. Weather was the only Wilmot winner for the fifth time in 11 events thus far this season as the scheduled Tuesday, July 2 UMP Summernationals Late Model Tour along with Wilmot modifieds and street stocks was cancelled when storms struck the Raceway just prior to the grandstands opening. No raindate was announced. On Saturday, July 13, the Badger 40 for the NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws Sprint Cars comes to Wilmot for the touring series annual appearance at the original home of sprint car racing in Wisconsin.
