The Wilmot Raceway starts 3 consecutive Saturday night’s of Championship racing this Labor Day weekend. Beginning this Saturday September 1st, a division or two will have its’ championship and final night of their respective season. This Saturday is Championship Night for the Goodyear winged/410 Sprint Car division. Mike Kertscher leads Scott Uttech, Tommy Sexton, Phillip Mock, and Dave Uttech in the Sprint Car Championship chase. Joining the Sprints will be full programs in the Don’s Auto & Machine / Hoosier Tire Modifieds, R.A. Adams Enterprises / Advance Auto Parts Street Stocks, Massive Speed & Hawg Heaven Pro & Bandit 4’s, and a non-points race was the Fec’s Place / Outlaw Race Parts Mini Sprints. And best part is that all of this racing action can be seen for just a $15 adult grandstand admission. Kids 11-7 are just $5, and 6 and under are FREE.
Just a few points separate both the Street Stock and Mod divisions creating plenty of drama for our stretch drive.
Saturday Sept 8th is the final Family Night featuring season championships in the Mini Sprint and 4 Cylinder classes. Of course the Mods and Street Stocks will be competing too as their respective championships won’t be decided until the final checkered flag the following week. Adult tickets are just $10.
Sept 15th is Wilmot Raceways’ big finale. Championships will be decided in the Modified and Street Stock divisions, but it’s also a WDLMA Late Model, and Illinois Vintage Stock Car SPECIAL event. The Late Models have become one of the favorite draws at Wilmot and adding them to a Championship night definitely makes the night that much bigger, AND FASTER! And the history in this group of Vintage Stock Cars is unsurpassed in their first Wilmot sanctioned event.
