ATTENTION STREET STOCKS

A couple of things came up in the tech inspection area this past Saturday. A couple of entries had front suspension issues that were questionable.  After the tech staff discussed the issues, we then made a phone call to Gregg Herrmann from the United street stock association. We questioned as to the legality of spacers being placed between the upper ball joint and the A-arm. While it does not say whether or not this is legal, We were told it is diffidently not allowed. Upper and lower ball joints must be stock OEM. TONY STEWART SPRINT CHALLENGE AUGUST 30

(Wilmot, Wis., Saturday, May 25, 2019)–Three-time NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart of Columbus, Indiana, recently announced member of the 2019 NASCAR Hall of Fame Class, is coming to Wilmot Raceway Friday, August 30. HAYNES, COLE WIN FIRST EVER, HAMBURG, MAULE TOP MEMORIAL WEEKEND SPECIAL FEATURES

POOR FORECAST CANCELS MAY 17 SPRINT CHALLENGE; MEMORIAL WEEKEND SPECIAL NEXT

Wilmot, Wis., Thursday, May 16, 2019)–The planned Sprint Challenge scheduled for Wilmot Raceway Friday, May 17 has been cancelled due to rain already received, unfavorable forecast for race day and travel considerations for fans, All Star and Interstate Racing Association teams.   Advance tickets will be refunded the first part of the week of May 20.   Wilmot Raceway, IRA and All Star officials are attempting to reschedule.  Further announcements will be made when news becomes available.   The next event for Wilmot Raceway will be a Memorial Weekend Special Saturday, May 25 featuring AutoMeter Wisconsin WingLess Sprints, Modifieds, Street Stocks and Bandit

TONY STEWART & ALL STARS TAKE ON IRA MAY 17 AFTER MAY 11 CANCELLATION

(Wilmot, Wis., Saturday, May 11, 2019)–Tony Stewart and the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions will take on the Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association (IRA) Sprint Car warriors in a Sprint Challenge Friday, May 17 at Wilmot Raceway. Mother Nature was the only winner on Mother’s Day weekend at Wilmot as persistent showers and cold temperatures resulted in officials canceling the Saturday, May 11 Family Night program. Stewart, former NASCAR Champion and sprint car standout, will lead the All Stars invading the IRA drivers home turf of the 1/3-mile clay oval located on the Kenosha County Fairgrounds.

Pardeeville’s Craig Campton captured his first ever 20-lap AutoMeter Wisconsin WingLess Sprints feature.
