CRANES ATTENDING FINAL WINGS ETC CAR SHOW WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26

The Crane brothers from Waukegan, Illinois, Nathan and Derek, will have their AutoMeter Wisconsin WingLess Sprints on display at the final Wings Etc. Car Show Wednesday, September 26 in the Orchard Street Plaza, Antioch, Illinois.  Both are scheduled to compete this Friday and Saturday, September 28 and 29, at Plymouth Dirt Track on the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds. Tony Stewart and Sammy Swindell have been announced as competing with the IRA Winged Sprints in their season finale. The show, the final in the summer series coordinated by Ron Horton, was rescheduled due to the forecast for inclement weather on September 25.

Wilmot Crowns M. Simons Modifieds; Heinert Mini-Sprints; Barron Bandits; Baker Street Stocks 2018 Champs

The regular season 2018 Wilmot Raceway Championship Night Saturday, September 8 saw four champions crowned and a pair of first-time Wilmot feature winners. Mike Simons II of Genoa City captured his second consecutive modified championship placing runner-up to first time feature winner Austin Blume of Mt. Morris, Illinois. Waukesha’s Mark Heinert took his third Wisconsin-Illinois Mini-Sprint crown with a second place feature finish to back to back main event winner C.J. Malueg of Johnsburg, Illinois. The Wilmot Raceway regular season Wisconsin WingLess Sprint Car Season Championship has been moved to Saturday, September 15. This follows the rain out of the September 1 race program. Season championships are scheduled for Wisconsin-Illinois Mini-Sprints, Modifieds, Street Stocks and Bandit 4-Cylinder Stock Cars on Saturday, September 8.
