WINGLESS SPRINT CHALLENGE NEXT AFTER AUGUST 26 WASH OUT

BABICZ – The Wisconsin WingLess Sprints(WLS) presented by the Interstate Racing Association(IRA) will take on the Upper Midwest Sprint Series(UMSS) original sprint cars in the WLS/UMSS Challenge highlighting the Labor Day Spectacular on Saturday, September 2 at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wisconsin.     The Wisconsin-Illinois Mini-Sprints(WIMS), modifieds and street stocks are on the program in addition to warriors from the two non-wing sprint car organizations.     The scheduled August 26 race program was canceled following steady rains which came just as cars began to take to the one-third mile clay oval facility on the Kenosha County Fairgrounds for engine warm-ups.     Prior to Wilmot’s

WILMOT RACEWAY HOSTING AUTOGRAPH SESSIONS NIGHTLY

Wilmot Raceway is hosting nightly autograph sessions beginning Saturday, August 26 featuring the Wisconsin-Illinois Mini-Sprints. All mini-sprint drivers are encouraged to come to the grandstand side from 5:00-5:30 p.m. near the souvenir stand to visit with fans, especially the younger ones. Dennis Spitz is planning to have his IRA Winged Outlaw Sprint Car #41 on display. Each division will have an opportunity during the remaining scheduled nights of the 2017 season. The Wisconsin WingLess Sprint are planned for Labor Day Saturday, September 2 which is the WLS/Upper Midwest Sprint Series Challenge.
