MOTHER NATURE WIPES FEATURES FOLLOWING COMPLETION OF MAY 28 PRELIMS

BABICZ 262-206-5465 FOR INFORMATION (Wilmot, Wis., Saturday, May 28, 2016)–Heavy thunderstorms rolled into the Wilmot Raceway just as the final preliminary event took the checkered flag bringing to a preliminary halt the Memorial Day Weekend Saturday Night Thunder race program on Saturday, May 28. Since the preliminary heat races and the modified “B” main were concluded, the race program is considered complete and rain checks will not be valid.  Drivers on hand do receive equal points and money for the feature events which were not run. HOLTGRAVER TOPS IRA/ALL STAR SPRINT CHALLENGE

BABICZ, FOR INFO 262-206-5465 (Wilmot, Wis., Saturday, May 21, 2016)–Danny Holtgraver of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania overcame engine woes to score the victory in the 35-lap feature for the Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association(IRA)/Artic Cat All Star Sprint Challenge on Saturday, May 21 at Wilmot(WI) Raceway. Holtgraver credited his crew for doing great work switching out engines as his power plant went sour toward the end of his win in the fourth heat race.  A couple of late race cautions in the feature kept the contenders within striking distance, but each time Holtgraver was able to pull away enroute

IRA/ALL STAR CHALLENGE NEXT AS MAY 14 FAMILY NIGHT CANCELLED

BABICZ – For the second time in three weeks the only winner at the 3/8-mile clay oval Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wis. is Mother Nature.  Inclement weather forced officials to cancel the planned Family Night program on Saturday, May 14. Overnight heavy rains leaving grounds and the track surface saturated coupled with a lack of sunshine and projected temperatures in the 30s forced officials to decide early Saturday morning not to run the program. ZOMER, C. KUXHOUSE, LEHR, T. BRANNAM SCORE OPENING NIGHT WINS

BABICZ – FOR INFORMATION (262) 206-5465 (Wilmot, Wisconsin, Saturday, May 7, 2016)–Dusty Zomer of Souix Falls, South Dakota made the long trip worth it taking top honors in the 25-lap Interstate Racing Association 50th Anniversary Tour feature on opening night at the 3/8-mile clay oval Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wis. The night proved memorable for Cameron Kuxhouse of Antioch as the second generation modified driver won his first ever 20-lap feature. Todd Lehr of Genoa City captured the 20-lap Meyer Services Wisconsin Wingless Sprints Presented by the IRA feature in the new group’s inaugural appearance. Tim Brannam of Holiday Hills, Illinois
